Fitzroy Reef

Reef Bliss:

Guests can enjoy 3 days and 3 nights on board the MV James Cook, departing from the Town of 1770 and exploring the Southern Great Barrier Reef, including the spectacular 2000 acre lagoon of Fitzroy Reef.

The price

Per person price for the Reef Bliss package is $495.00 (plus $5.00 per person per day for the GBRMPA Environmental Management Charge)

$20 per extra dives - with a maximum of 8 dives per trip, including one night dive.

The Dive Sites

Dive sites will vary depending on weather conditions, but can include Fitzroy Reef, Llewelyn (a green zone for over 10 years) Boult, Lamont, Sykes and Heron Reef.

Surfing

For experienced surfers only, you will need to have own board and booties. Surf sites depend on conditions as well, but can include Fitzroy, Lamont and Sykes Reef.

The Boat

The MV James Cook has been operated by our family as a charter fishing vessel from the Town of 1770 for 21 years and is a purpose built 45 ft steel mono hull. The vessel can sleep up to 10 passengers in bunk style accommodation and is also available for private charter for groups.

Pancake Perfection

Two days and two nights on board the MV James Cook, exploring the solitude of Pancake Creek and its estuarine coral reef and the surrounding Bustard Head.

The first Friday/Saturday and third Friday/Saturday of every month, and on demand.

7 Day Dive, Surf, Fish and Snorkel Adventure Trips to the Swain Reefs aboard the MV Australiana

The catch of the day

Dive 1770 is proud to offer the first regular overnight dive & snorkel trips from the 1770 Area. The Swain Reefs offer some of the most unexplored and untouched areas of the Great Barrier Reef providing spectacular drop offs and pinnacles, and visibility often over 50 metres.

Our friendly crew of 3 will ensure that your week on the Swain Reefs is one to remember with all meals & bedding provided, free air fills and 20-25 dives per trip. Diver numbers are limited to 10, so personalised service is assured. A qualified PADI instructor is aboard all trips, so dive courses from Open Water to Divemaster can be arranged on demand.
